HOW TO FIX AN AIRLOCK:
If one of your taps fails to supply water or splutters when turned on, this could be caused by air trapped in the supply pipe, this can be a common problem and usually occurs after the system has been drained for maintenance or improvement. To clear the airlock follow these simple steps:
Step 1:
Connect a hose pipe to your mains tap (Cold water kitchen) and connect the other end to the faulty tap.
Step 2:
Turn on the faulty tap and then turn on the mains tap.
Step 3:
Allow the water to run through the hose pipe for a few minutes whilst the pressure forces the air out of the system.
Step 4:
When finished, turn off the taps, undo the hose from the higher of the two taps before releasing the lower, allowing the water from the hose to drain in the sink.
NOTE:
You may need to repeat this process more than once, or until you are satisfied that the airlock has been cleared.
