Did you know that toilets use about 27% of all the water in the average home?
Your toilet is one of the most common places to find leaks, sometimes you can hear a toilet leak by a faint trickling sound but sometimes toilets can leak silently, this is why it is important that you check for leaks.
Checking your toilet for leaks:
Step 1:
Remove the lid from your toilet, drop a die tablet into the water or add up to 10 drops of food colouring.
Step 2:
Replace the lid on your toilet and return to it after about 15 minutes.
Step 3:
Take a look in your toilet bowl, if the water has turned the colour of your tablet or food colouring, this will indicate that you have a leak.
